Any LINLEYS out there? Catherine Scott married John Linley -1904 Penicuik Midlothian & then left for Canada where they were Homesteaders in Phippen.
I do not know their childrens names but two sons/Grandsons visited their Uncle Jock( John SCOTT- Catherines brother) & Auntie Rose & cousin Ian I think pre 1943 when Jock died.They may have been in RCMP.
We have photos/letters where they mention a Veitch who either lived with/close by- we are Veitch descendants so may have been 2nd cousin or similar. I dont think there are any descendants still living in Phippen but I could find no Linleys in Canadian/CWGC so hoping the boys survived to have families & hope they have inherited the nosey gene & are searching for Family in UK. I think John parents were John & RACHEL & they were still living when John/Catherine( known as Kate) married.
