Was wondering if anyone can help me with this member of my grandmother-in-laws ancestry.
All i have so far from the 1851 Census for Buckingham is that he was born c1789 in Pangbourn, Berks.
Would it be possible for anyone to see if they can find his birth details? or any other information on the CARTERS from this area.
In 1851 he is a Farmer of 85 Acres in Ballinger, Bucks, so i'm presuming he is following a family occupation
Regards
Gareth

Cheers Jeremy, i had the 61 census for William and Sarah but not Elizabeth. Would you be able to find Frederick Keen born c1843 in Gt Missenden and Henry Keen b c1848 in Gt Missenden for me on the 61 census?
Frederick, may be in Middlesex, as he married a bethnal green lass, Elizabeth, c1866 up there and had his children in the Middlesex area as well
Again, thanks for the Census info much appreciated
Regards
Gareth
Gareth,
I cannot believe you have just asked me to find Frederick Keen for you! Why you may well ask? The reason is I have just this week given this same household to someone else on this forum. You will need to look for a thread by 'Minnow' called Keen of Bledlow. Anyway here goes:-
Bethnal Green RG9/258 Folio 142 Page 43
Stephen Keen Head 32 Refiner Born Bledlow Bucks
Jane Keen Wife 26 Born Chesham
Sarah J Dau. 3 Born Bethnal Green
Frederick Keen Nephew Unm 18 Refiner Born Gt Messenden
There is no suitable Henry on 1861 census but a Henry Keen is Reg dead March quarter 1864 at Amersham. Sure you and Minnow will have things in common. I have given her info on this family for 1871. (Look at above mentioned thread)
Cheers, Jeremy
