Warrington, Sep 17
A most melancholy circumstance happened almost a mile from hence, at five
o'clock in the morning on Thursday last, in the robbery of the mail and the
murder of James Hogwood, who was found in a brook with his hands and feet
tied behind him, with several wounds on the head, and the body otherwise
much bruised; his throat also appeared to have been stabbed in several
places, and his face much beat about the eyes.
Hogwood was about 24 years of age, and bore a most excellent character; he
has unfortunately left an unhappy widow, far advanced in pregnancy, to
lament his loss.

Poor sod. I hope a later edition might mention the apprehension of whodunnit.
