I've been searching for ages trying to find my G grandmother's brothers from Sutherland. Donald b. 1830 wasn't on the 1841 census in Sutherland Hugh b. 1831 was on the 1851 census then disappears and their sister Catherine b. 1829 and married James McKAY ( also born in Loth , Sutherland ) in Edinburgh March 28th 1856. Found other non related MELVILLEs in New York state and in Ontario. I feel sure they're in Canada somewhere!
