Seeking any information re my Gt aunts (1) GRACE GAGAN, she married Augustus GARTLAND in 1894, Napana Ontario, Augustus was a widower (his first wife Catherine Traynor) Grace had severa children, Mary, Joseph & twin sons Jerome & Jerrald, born 1903, I believe the twin sons died in infancy, and Grace later gave birth to stillborn twin sons a few years later. I have been informed that she died in 1931, I am seeking any descendants who may still be in Ontario, or any other relations connected to me
(2) Gt aunt LAURA GAGAN arrived in Canada 1885, she went to work as a domestic servant with Mr & Mrs Hayes of Maryesville Ontario, according to the 1891 census she was still with Mrs Catherine Hayes, then a widow, but I could not trace her on the 1901 census, perhaps she married? if so, to whom?
any descendants out there? there was correspondence with my mother, LAURA MAUD BARR (nee Gagan) until after WW2, there was also a cousin of my mother, visited her in Scotland about 1948/9 name of Charlie Herd or Heard there was correspondence with another cousin Eleanor (?) does anyone know this family?
