Anyone researching DAVIS I am trying to find a link to ALFRED DAVIS he married Louisa Geoghan (Nee Paddison or Pattison) in Stoke on Trent 1885
Louisa had been in the Stoke on Trent workhouse with her children in 1881, I do not know when she left, her children except for the eldest boy Patrick, were sent to Canada in 1885 their surname being changed to Gagan, and as mentioned, Louisa married Alfred Davis.
I found them on the 1901 census still in Stoke on Trent. Alfred was son of Frederick Davis a schoolmaster, ther marriage was witnessed by Alfred & Sarah Walton, were they related to Alfred Davis?
with them in 1901 was a niece (whose?) (Louisa Thomas) would appreciate any lead in tracing them, especially death when & where for Louisa, can find no trace on the usual sources, perhaps she married yet again?! have not been able to find death for Alfred either.
