I have the 1841 details of JAMES & ESTHER LEDGER at Reigate Foreign.

If someone could please see if he's still around in 1851, probably in his 60s. To help clarify things, I need to know where he says he was born.
Many thanks,

Jane

I've had a look at 1851 census and neither of your names (or any soundex) are shown residing in Surrey. Sorry.

The Ledgers were at Horne in 1700s. My 5-grandmother was Mary Ledger (b1741). She was daughter of Joseph and Sarah Ledger.

Trish, Eric & Bengunn, many apologies for not replying to your posts, it must have been at a time when B-G Forums was having gremlin problems so I missed them. Scary to see my original post was over 2 years ago!
