We have a wonderful plumber now ............
(even if he was on holiday when the cylinder sprang a leak - but that's another story and another thread!) ..........
but before we found him Lee accidentally drilled through one of the heating pipes in our then new kitchen. This was at 10 o'clock at night - water everywhere!
We phoned every 24 hour emergency plumber in the book and to a man they all declared that it was too late at night! Fortunately we're fairly enterprising. I turned the water and the heating off and mopped up and Lee (who hates plumbing) made an emergency repair with that plasticine-like plumber's stuff that sets like concrete. (Come to think of it that temporary repair's still in place and still holding)
But tell me  What is the definition of a 24 hour emergency service if 10 o'clock is too late? And this is just one example .............
