I am looking for the descendants of Thomas and Charlotte (nee Whaler) Horsley who lived in Sheffield from about 1860. They both came from Lincoln. Thomas was a coachman (per census). Sons were: George, Samuel, and Ernest.

George married Helena Marshall and to date I have only one child: Eric N. (b. 1900 (per census). Last in Norton, Derby (1901 census).

Samuel married Fanny Knowles. To date 3 children all born in Sheffield: Amy (b. 1888); Minnie (b. 1889); and William (b. 1893). Last in Sheffield.

Thomas Harsley b1835 was married to Charlotte Whaler b1842 in 1863. He was a coachman. They had three children, George William b1864 in Barton on Humber,m Helena Knowles - they had a son Eric b 1899. The second son Samuel b1867 was married to Fanny Marshall b1864 in 1884. They had three children Amy Whaler b1868, Minnie b1889 and William b1893.
Ernest their third son was born in 1880, he married Harriet Ethel Hallam. They had four children, Alan, my father, born 21/02/1907(d 1998), Bessie Whaler b1917, and twins Edna and Nora.
Charlotte seems to have had a brother William b1848 who was in Sheffield at the 1881 Census. They came from Chapel St Leonards in Lincolnshire but I have not traced their parents. I would like to know more about the Whalers.
