I hate to see such a useful forum go unused.
As a minor venting of spleen WHEN oh WHEN are my kids and wife going to learn to squeeze the toothpaste tube from the bottom and put the cap on properly afterwards??????
Life was much better when the tubes were metallic so that you could roll them up; roll up these plastic things and they unwind in a most annoying manner.

Yeah but if you rolled them too tight the toothpaste squeezed out the bottom instead of out the lid! |rant|
By the way - are grumpy old women allowed too?
Mary.

Not if you squeezed properly!!!!!

My dad told me all ladies are 21, so I suppose grumpy women would have to be allowed.

Morning Geoffers,
In case you missed it, BBC TV did do a follow-up to Grumpy Old Men, naturally called Grumpy Old Women! :D
No problems with toothpaste, as we both do the same as you, but something my husband does which *drives me up the wall* ..... why after making a drink of tea or coffee ...... does he never put the milk back in the fridge?

At least he doesn't drink milk from the bottle (I presume) - all that backwash.

Probably a bad habit he learnt off my wife.

Why can't mine hang up the tea-towell - still I suppose I shouldn't complain, at least it proves he does the drying up.
Or is this a cunning ploy to let me think he's done the drying up, but then if he hadn't who has  - see, I'm getting paranoid now

Hmm .... I can think of a number of these ........ but cowardice prevails as I suspect that him in the next room could qiute easily retaliate! :D ;)

Geoffers....you wouldn't like to do a swap with my husband would you?? I'm for ever replacing the toothpaste in the holder...and bless him...he does bring bits shopping home for me...but after carefully putting the things away, leaves the bag open on the table!! Presumably to remind me that it was HE that had done the shopping! I guess we all have irritating ways though, as he constantly reminds me!! ;)
Wouldn't life be dull if there weren't `grumpy old men' and `grumpy old women'?

Dear Each,
I must be the perfect partner!
I don't leave the milk out because I do not go to the kitchen in the first place! This is the domain of women!(Grumpy or otherwise!)
I never leave the shopping bag open beause, as is proper, I do not interfere with the little ladies' shopping trips.
We have separate toothpaste so I never get hot under the collar because I squeeze mine 'properly'.
The computer is my domain and I just changed the password because I wanted to!!!

We also have his and hers toothpaste but in pumps :) No squeezing needed. I found that when I squeezed my toothpaste tubes the toothpaste came out of small holes that had appeared in the tube :(

Toothpase is nice stuff. But the very worst type is the stuff in a pump type container! !! No matter what you do.... or how you use it... if you put the lid back on then the next time you use it, the whole damned thing is sticky with toothpaste. The more often the lid gets put back on, the worse it gets.
In our house.... I get sneaky.... I throw away the lid! ("But what if I need the lid for travelling?" ..... "Stuff the lid... buy a tube!"
