Hello Everyone!

I have been checking out my grandparents heritage for about 6 months now. I'm doing pretty good but once in awhile I hit a brick wall! Is this the right relative? or am I wishing it is? Once you start getting back into the 1700's it gets a bit difficult. Not as if you can ask anyone? lol..
My mom was English from Lidlington, Bedfordshire England and my dad was an American Airman in the Air Force. They met, fell in love and so on and so forth.. I would love to learn all about my English heritage because I am so proud to be at least 1/2 English. I left England when I was 6yrs old, we came back to the states and traveled the world for the next 20 years. I'm lucky enough go back and visit my aunts, uncles and lots and lots of cousins every 3 years or so..
Anyway, I'm off for an adventure..
Good luck to all of you :smile5:

Hi Debbie,
you're starting on the biggest adventure of all. It's great that you have known relatives to help out & work back from.

Find the forum you need & post away, happy hunting.

Hi Debbie - welcome to Brit-Gen |wave|

Once you get into the 1700s, those lovely parish records really come into their own! Have a good look round and post those queries of yours so that we can help you to smash your brickwalls.

Have fun!
