Hello everyone,
My Aunt, Elizabeth McMaster, was buried in Crowlane Cemetery, 1964
My GMother, Lizzie Smart, buried in the same grave, 1970
Informant in both cases was Martha Miller, listed as Sister, and Daughter.
I have never heard of her, and cannot find her buried -- anywhere!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Santana

I was searching around last night, and came to a few dead ends. Do you have the birth years for your grandmother and aunt?

There was an Arthur Miller who married a Martha Evans in Liverpool in 1940. Could Martha have taken the name of her stepfather?

Hi Pennydog,
Yes, that is Lizzie, I do not understand what Havering 5c 93 means.
Is any other information offered?
Thank you,

Hello Tomasin,
I have recently discovered that Lizzie had a 3rd marriage, to a Charles Smart.
Martha, born in 1904, is Lizzies' daughter by her first marriage, and she died in 1914, in Belfast.

So Martha was born a Smyth, and was nothing to do with Martha Miller, sister?

Is any other information available on that marriage?
It took place in Liverpool North, Lancashire between July and September of 1940, and the GRO reference is volume 8B page 1220.
I think they had three children, but I cannot elaborate because they are probably still alive.

Hi Santana,
The reference is from the GRO (General Register Office) index, and is what you would need to order a death cert, but as you know the informant, date etc. you probably already have it. I only gave the details as Thomasin was looking for a dob for Lizzie and that info is on the later GRO indexes.

Yes, Martha was born a Smyth, 1st marriage.
If this 2nd Martha was Lizzie's, she would have been an Evan, between 1914-1942.
