Hello everyone

I am hoping for some help on finding my Grandfathers Donald Gregson Whittaker's family. He came to Canada in 1925 and list his father Isacc Whittaker as next of kin and his fathers address as 49 Foot (not sure of the spelling on his paper) Ave., Rudheath Park, Northwich, England. I am not sure of the county or parish but have been using Cheshire but that may be wrong. Isacc was married twice and had a son Frank b. abt 1887 by his first marriage and my grandfather Donald b. 1907 and at least two daughters by his second marriage. His second wife's last name may be Miller.

I would greatly appreciate any information anyone may have or any help in where to start in England. The 1901 census gives no Isacc in the above county. Thanks in advance.

There are just too many hits for both Frank and Isaac with the information you have provided.

Isacc as the spelling just comes up with no possibilities.

Do you know where Frank was born?

Also on freeBMD, marriage of Isaac Whittaker March quarter 1905 Northwich vol 8a page 403 to Ann Foxley or Margaret Ellen Miller. Looks like Margaret is the right one.
According to www.cheshirebmd.org.uk Isaac Whittaker married Margaret E. Millar in a civil ceremony at Northwich Register Office in 1905.

The birth certificate of the son will give his father's name & occupation, mother's name & mother's previous surnames, & place & date of birth.

The marriage certificate will give the name, age, place of residence, father's name & father's occupation (& whether deceased) for both bride & groom. Also the groom's occupation. Also the witnesses to the marriage.

Can't see Isaac in 1901 census yet, but this is possibly him in 1891:

Hello Procat,
I have gotten more information on Isaac Whittaker b. around 1857 and his son Frank b. 1885. His first wife was Harriet Lea who died in 1887. Isaac lived with his wife's sister and husband Jno Mathew Jackson until his marriage to Margaret Ellen Millar. My grandfather Donald Gregson Whittaker was their first child born in June 1907. Hs sister Nancy was born in 1915. His other sister he called Sissy. I cannot find a census after 1901 so do not know her name.
Isaac's parents where Josiah b. 1821 and his wife Hannah Unknown b. 1824. I do not know if they had any other children other than my g-grandfather Isaac or Hannah's last name. That is about all I have collected so far. I do not know Hannah's last name or if they had any children besides Isaac, or if its possiable to go any further back and get Josiah's parents.

I would love to get more information if possiable.
