Another B-G member, edithmay518, has also been searching for this family. In post #2 of her thread, which you can find here (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php/67932-George-Chapman-VALLANCE), there's mention of a Miss E.G.L. Vallance, aged 2, who appears on a 1906 passenger list. Could this be Nellie?

For anyone looking, there appears to be some information on George Chapman VALLANCE in this thread here (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php/67932-George-Chapman-VALLANCE).

There are also some entries in the NAAIRS database for him. A divorce in 1915. A possible second wife called Alice Wright. There is also an estate file dated 1945. See post #27

Hi Benny thanks for your interest the only info. I have is that her brother was bo.rn in Gillingham Dorset in 1906 and the family seemed to be Devon connected. Her father George Chapman was a station clerk at the time.Regards Mary

I have very little info. She was born to George Vallance and Ethel nee watts between 1903 and 1906 seems to have had a sister born in 1905 and brother in 1906.The family are known to have lived in Gillingham Dorset and EXETER AREA. WOULD APPRECIATE MORE NEWS IN THIS REGARD.
