Elizebeth GIENAZGINS

My g g grandmother Elizebeth was born in Bristol (Somerset?) in !825 she was married in 1848 in Lambeth Surrey, however I am unable to find any trace in census or BMD for any Gienazgins has anyone come across this surname or have any ideas where to go. Any help would be appreciated

No sign of Elizabeth or any Gienazgins in the 1841 census or on freeBMD. If the only time you have come across the name Gienazgins is at a marriage, then I suspect that this is a miss-translation, either by the clerk at the time or when the marriage was recorded later. If you have a copy of the marriage certificate (or better still a copy of the church record of the marriage), then why not try posting an image of the name (signatures, bride's name & her father's name) on this website & seeing if anyone can come up with an alternative translation.

FYI Bristol Somerset was anywhere south of the river Avon - Bristol Gloucester was north of the river.
