CLARA CHEESMAN

Hi Im trying to find a marriage for CLARA CHEESMAN born 1st July 1886 Hackney. Her father was GEORGE JOHN CHEESMAN. All I have is her husbands surname which is EDWARDS. Ive tried everthing I can think of to find the marriage but with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.:hammer:

I was working on the same couple as notanotherminer, and found a death for Ernest Clark 1913, also a marriage for a Clara Clark to Ernest Edwards.

Death West Ham, Ernest Clark, Jan-Mar 1913. 4a/354, age 30.

Marriage West Ham, Clara Clark to Ernest Edwards, Apr-Jun 1918.

I don't think so. Only if for some special reason both names were given in the marriage register (e.g. in the case of a divorcee).

Local BMD indexes are another matter. For second marriages they do often give a maiden name, normally derived from the father's name as stated in the register.

I didnt know at the time if Clara had children.

I got the name EDWARDS from a Grave Registration form that Clara had signed. She was signing over a family grave to my grandfather.
