I am researching my Taylor family from Clevedon, Somerset my 3x great Grandfather was a man named Charles Taylor who was born in Clevedon in 1818 and left there as a very young man moving to Briton Ferry, Glamorgan where he settled and started a family, he was one of nine children born to Thomas and Ann Taylor, there was George b 1813, William b 1815 Henry b 1821, James b 1828, Robert 1831, Thomas 1834-1864, Ann Taylor b 1838 and Jane b 1824, while I can account for some including Charles who married Catherine Thomas and had six children including a son Robert who fought in the Zulu war, William lived not far from his brother Charles in Aberavon where he married a Catherine Evans and had nine children and James who in the 1881 census is in Penderyn, Breconshire and had issue with his wife Elizabeth, it is with George, Henry and Robert I am struggyling to find anything about Robert is in the 1841 census for Clevedon, but not the 1851 and I can find no records for deaths in Clevedon for these brothers and would be grateful for a little help with these.

Kind Regards
Beth

HI Beth,

Do you know any of the lads occupations at all or have an idea where they may have lived around 1851.

I don't I did hear that they may have had a disagreement and all gone their seperate ways, Charles had been a mason, William a Labourer and James a Blockmaker so their occupations seem quite varied, I can't seem to find them anywhere and as I have said I can not find any burial records for them in Clevedon.
