Hello homer s - welcome to Brit-Gen,
Have you any idea of where Margaret was born? Are there any clues on the 1901 and/or 1911 censuses?
The more information that we have from you, the better placed we are to help you find her. :smile5:

jan1954,
she was born in wigan, i have a copy of her baptism certificate, because if my memory serves me well, they could not find a birth certificate. the copy of the baptism is dated 1949 and i think she used this to show her age for a widows pension. on the 1901/1911 census's she is down as maggie,

The Lancashire BMDs website has birth registrations for what look like several siblings, with mother's maiden name Fitzgerald, but not Margaret/Maggie as far as I can see.
From the same site I see that Joseph Brewers Blundell Boyd (also indexed with the double-barrelled surname Blundell-Boyd) married Bridget Fitzgerald in 1882 in Wigan (either at the Register Office or elsewhere with the registrar in attendance: this could indicate a Roman Catholic marriage, for example).
The birth of a Joseph Brewers Boyd was registered Q4 1856, Wigan district. This would make him about the right age to be the Brewers Boyd who died in the Wigan district in 1903 aged 46.
That doesn't help find Margaret/Maggie though, sorry.
P.S. oh, I forgot to say hello and welcome, homer s :)

In case it helps anyone else who's searching, here's the list from Lancashire BMDs of Boyd birth registrations with mother's maiden name Fitzgerald, Wigan sub-district:
Brewers, 1882
Alfred, 1884
Joseph Henry, 1886
Abraham, 1888
Robert, 1891 [mother's maiden name indexed as 'Fitgerald']
Solomon, 1893
William, 1897
May, 1899
From an index to Wigan (Lower Ince) cemetery records at wiganworld.co.uk/stuff/cemetery.php (put www. in front) it appears that three of these children all died in 1893:
Solomon Boyd, aged 5 weeks, 16 Gee Street, buried 18 March 1893
Abraham Boyde, aged 5 mo., 15 Gee Street, buried 5 June 1893
Brewers Boyde, aged 11 years, 16 Gee Street, buried 17 June 1893
These three are buried in the Roman Catholic part of the cemetery in public graves, as is 46 year old Brewer Boyd who died 1903. There are quite a few other Boyds in that cemetery.
