I am searching

Pilot Family Search (http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#r=1&p=allCollections)

England, diocese of durham bishops transcripts 1700 -1900

Northumberland, Bamburgh 1762 - 1838

Page # 209

Can't read the child's name I thought Isabel at 1st glance but first letter could be a "J" or a "S"

Also can't make out where they live nor occupation

Yea I know I am royal pain in the butt round these parts:blush5:

I think it says 'Isab.', so your first thought of Isabel/Isabella is probably correct.:) Many of the names on this page are abbreviated (further up the page there is a baptism of a child whose parents are recorded as 'Wm & Isab.' Foreman, for example).

To save others searching, you can go straight to image 209 by clicking here (https://www.familysearch.org/search/image/show#uri=https%3A//api.familysearch.org/records/pal%3A/MM9.1.i/dgs%3A004042118.004042118_00209).

Is the occupation Husbandman?

I've compared other entries and, unlikely as it seems at first (or tenth!) glance, I'm sure that the 'abode' reads BAM which is clearly an abbreviation for Bamburgh. On page 208, compare it with the 3rd entry on the LH page and the 4th entry on the RH page.

After another look I think everyone is right.

Isabel for the name

Occupation abbreviated husb probably means husbandman ((sort of farmer right??)

And of course Bamburgh

Thank you all
Wendy
