any info on george milner who married eliza wharton 1st dec 1851 in wingerworth would be appreciated. he was an ironminer and as far as i can see he and eliza never shared a home, in 1861 and 1871 she lodged with her parents and the children that the marriage produced, he cannot be found anywhere and then in 1881 eliza reverted back to her maiden name and listed herself as a widow , but again i cannot find george milners death listed anywhere, i have checked ancestry , igi and freebmd. any boby know anything that might help me answer this problem thanks

hi i have whartons from kirby stephan cumbria, who married into milner family. i dont recognise your family but we have John milner wharton but i believe it is prior to your family. the two names are very common in cumbria.
if you get hold of me we might sort out something.
