Hi I'm researching my Hailey ancestors, Thomas Hailey born 1827 Aylesbury. He was a shoemaker , as was his son Thomas, and had moved to London by the 1870's. Any information would be helpful, thanks jill

Hallo Jilly

I had a quick look on my 1851 CD for your Thomas, but couldn't find him. There was a Thomas aged 32 with wife Elizabeth but he was born Amersham. There were two others, one aged 33 and another 50 but not born in Aylesbury.

So it doesn't look as if he was in BKM at that time. I did a check on variables Halle, etc. but couldn't find anything.

Not much help, but at least you know he wasn't there at that time.

Good Luck

Glenys

Thanks Glenys ,I've since found Thomas was christened in 1825, not 27, at St. Mary's in Aylesbury. His son Thomas was born there , but maybe they moved before the 1851 census, I appreciate your kindness for looking Jill
