Hello Canada Archives
I was wondering if there was any thought to Archives Books Canada perhaps doing a deal with the Quebec genealogical society about copying the various Repertoire des Mariages for Quebec, Northern Ontario and New Brunswick. They are all written in french, but still very easy to follow.
They are simply lists of marriages taken from parish register books, and the info includes bride & grooms name, parents names for both bride & groom, date & place of the marriage and sometimes a birthplace is also mentioned (especially if the original birthplace was in a different province).
I have found a number of these books at the Reference Library & the North York Library both in Toronto, but would love to own them on CD so I dont have to keep photocopying all the pages. :)
Thanks
