A possibility?

Births Dec 1905 Mutford 4a 1099
Vincent Ambrose William

Do you have access to the 1911 census?

1911: RG14/11034 SN436

Well, if you know the name of his father, then you could look at the 1901 census.

1901: RG13 Piece: 1760 Folio: 70 Page: 2 (crown copyright, care of the TNA)

I also noticed an Ambrose William Vincent died in the year 2000. Reg district Bexley, Kent. Age 95. Birth date was 25 Sep 1905

thanks

the death details i just found as well ,tie in with the info i have , they all lived in the orpington area , his birth date has led to many confusions !!!.

the story is of a classic nature in that he runaway at 17 yrs , never to return untill near the end of his life , this is were the info on his brother and sister come in.

we do not have his fathers details and according to Family story its not on his wedding cert ,but no one has it anymore , looks like some reprints to be ordered .
thanks again

Well good luck! :smile5: Perhaps the age on his mariage certificate will help. Or his death certificate; it should state where he was born (provided the informant knew those details.) Also, the death was relatively recent, perhaps there's an online obituary (although I couldn't see one on running a quick search.)
