Hi
My Grandmother was Sarah Martindale, I have taken her MARTINDALE ancestors back to the 1600's. I would like to hear from anyone else who has Martindales to see if we can link them together.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Sue,
I have a Walter Martindale (born c 1854) in my tree who married my 2nd great grandaunt Emma Bray, in St Jude Potteryfield, Leeds in 1877. Any connection?
Regards

Hi Katharine
I have a Walter bap. 17 Jun 1885 York. He was the son of John Martindale and Sarah Ann Dale. His Birth was registered in the Sep 1/4 of 1885 at York ref 9d 41. But no other Walters, sorry.
I did find yours on http://www.yorkshirebmd.org.uk and on the 1881 but you probably already have this information
Yorkshire Birth indexes for the years: 1854
Surname Forename(s) Sub-District Registers At Reference
MARTINDALE Walter Leeds North Leeds NORT/45/357
found him as son in law on the 1881 living with Sarah A Bray.
Sorry I can't help any further

Thank you for the information. I am going to order the marriage certificate of Walter Martindale and Emma Bray and maybe this will provide more information on Walters father etc.
Best regards
Katharine
