Death Registers Birkenhead

Can anyone look up death registers and tell me anything about a Robert Martin, died Birkenhead December quarter 1941 please?

This is a long shot. I don’t know if he is my missing link or not but looks promising. Can anyone help as I don’t want to buy the cert to find yet another disappointment.

Failing that perhaps the 1901 census or electoral rolls or voters lists - were there such things then?

The 1940 Kelly's Trade Directory lists only 3 Robert Martins in Birkenhead:
Rt, traveller, 63 Grosvenor road, Birkenhead
Rt. Geo., manager, Upton road Claughton, Birkenhead
Rt. J., aurist & surgeon, Ear Nose & Throat Dept. Birkenhead General hospital

There is a Robert G Martin at RG 13 3399 folio 109 2 Heathfield Rd,Birkenhead.
Robert G MARTIN..Serv..S..20..Green Grocer's assistant..Lancs,Liverpool.

He is with a Nelson/Welson family, the head of which was a Green Grocer.

Many thanks to Wirral and UK for your help. I don't think I have him yet! The death details I got from free BMD and that is what I need to find.

Robert T Martin was in the Army at some stage. He was born (probably India), about 1874 and was the brother of my grandfather. I know he was alive and living in Dulwich in 1930; as he sent flowers to a family funeral. That really is the only sighting I've had of him. I don't even know if he was married. Any ideas please let me know.
