I am researching all instances of Lishman/Lishmnd in Devon. It is an unusual name in the suth of England and I am expecting that eventually all the Devon instances will prove to be related. I am very happy to share information with anyone eles interested in the names. I am decended from John Rufus Lishman born Devonport 1840.

Ii appreciate your kindness in finding these names. I have a fairly clear picture now of the Victorian Lishmans but would like to get further back to the mysterious William in 1704, who seems to be on his own as far as relations go.
