Hello,
I have an Elizabeth Garnham (born 1812) in my family tree. She was born at Ashbocking in Suffolk. Sometimes on the census, she states she is born in Henly, Suffolk.
Any connection to your Garnhams?

Hi
I have Garnham's on my husbands side from the Norfolk area. There was Lillian, Charles, Margaret, William, Philip, Patricia and Dennis. Patricia married a Roland Collins, William married Ethel Woodcock, Philip married Mabel Sulman and Dennis moved to PNG and married a girl Kathy.
Look forward to your reply
Patricia

Have had no luck so far, however have found a family...Henry, and wife Fanny Garnham with children Mary Ann Jane, harriet, Frederick,
Fanny(possibly my great granny)George and William. 1861 census for Boston, Lincolnshire.

My apologies...I'd never got around to checking my responses..what a flake!
Most Garnhams come from Suffolk (the derivation of the nam being Gara + ham, some unidentied place on the Suffolk/Essex border), so your ancestor will be one of the numerous lines from there. No connection I know of, as my lot were mainly from Norfolk, then stray into Lincolnshire in the late 1700s.

Hi Steve
Thank you for the contact you gave me via private email
He was able to give me info on 9 generations of "my" Garnhams.
It seems they were James and Maria of Earl Soham, Plomesgate, Suffolk.Your help is much appreciated
Regards
Terri
I'm not sure if this is of any help, but my g. grandmother Mary Ann Church married a Benjamin Cattermole, (who was the village blacksmith in Swilland) in 1888. Benjamin Cattermole was previously married to Deborah GARNHAM, who seems to have died around 1877. Deborah Garnham was born in Swilland in abt 1847 - her parents were Henry and Emma. Henry was born in Swilland, but Emma came from Coddenham.
