After the saga of the missing page in Heanor, I found a bonus page in the 1861 Census Piece RG9-2435.

Its a 1973 ..... 3-generation family tree for POWNALL, starting with William POWNALL (born 1801) and wife Maria (nee CHAPPELL)
Must be 1973 rather than 1873, since it includes a death in 1877.

See Adobe PDF pages 182 & 183 in the V2 set, RG9-2435.

Another good reason for buying the ACDB Census set !

Hi Frank, I've just noticed your thread and had a look at the pages, very interesting and not something you see everyday:)
I also noticed there is even a note to "Duncan"

Steve.

It's the added extras which brighten up the general grind of trawling through Parish Registers, Census images , etc.
Baptismal registers often include a few pithy Vicar's comments, but my favourite was an account of the misdemeanours of a member of a Welsh community (as recorded by his local church elders)
The gentleman was alleged to have consorted with "naughty women" and had "conversation" with them, which I take to be the same as "congress" in other texts.
He was also accused of frequenting some dubious houses, and was called to account for his actions several times, when he promised to reform, but apparently failed to do so.
The record appears in a LDS film, possibly Welsh Non-Conformist registers in Brec or Mon, but although I copied it down I can't find it at present. If it does come to light I'll post it on a B_G Forum.
