Log In/Registration Problems

I can't find anywhere else to post this, so my apologies if it's in the wrong place

I tried to log in earlier using the same user name & password that I originally registered with and have
used before. They were not accepted and I was locked out after the 5 attempts.

I could not see anywhere where I could request a password reset or anything else similar, so I re-registered
with the same user name and a slightly different password.

I'm a bit puzzled why this should happen, Anyone any ideas?

Whoops - I've just seen in "Contact Us" how I could have done the above.

Not entirely sure, but it would have been a couple of years or so ago. I was rather surprised when is started the re-register last night that my original user name was shown as available. As I say, I did log in a few days ago ok, but when I went to log in again yesterday I couldn't

If your original email address was no longer valid and bounced to my mailbox, your previous registration would have been deleted. Twelve months later, the user name would become available.

That will probably be the answer then. I changed ISPs some months ago so my original email address was obsolete.
