Has anyone come across a branch of the Waterfield's in Great Brickhill, they can also be found in Hockliffe, Bedfordshire?
Other variations of the surname are Waterford and Waterfall
A Samuel Waterfield of Hockliffe leaves property in Duck Lane in a will dated 1766, to his son Samuel Waterfield and Elizabeth the wife of his deceased son Thomas.
Great Brickhill was an obvious place to look apart from Hockliffe, and it turned up quite a few answers, Thomas was baptised there in November 1724 and Samuel his brother in 1717. On looking at the registers it took me back a further generation.
I've looked everywhere but I can't find a marriage of Thomas Waterfield C1746 to Elizabeth?. Or Thomas's death sometime between 1761 when his last child was christened and 1765 when Elizabeth remarried the innkeeper of the King's Arms, Hockliffe, called William Tripp.

There are large gaps in Thomas and Elizabeth's family
Sarah Waterfield christened at Hockliffe on the 10th December 1746
William Waterfield christened at Hockliffe on the 25th February 1759
Thomas Waterfield christened 17th August 1761 at Hockliffe and buried at Hockliffe on the 22nd November 1761
I can find no other children, so it is a bit of mystery.

I would be happy to hear from anyone who can help.
