Dear Each,
I really would be most grateful for ANY information about either the POCOCK, or KENWARD families from Catsfield. I have had some help already from some kind souls on the other site but as a 'newbie' I do need all the help I can get. Am going to Kew next week armed with some references to try out some research of my own! By the way, thanks to the people who have offered me guidence so far!

I notice from the date on this message that it is some5 months old, but has not solicited any replies.

If you are still looking for info on the above families, I do have the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census for Catsfield, and I travel through Catsfield virtually everyday on my way to Lewes.

Would be happy to give you further info from the above enumerators returns.

Hiya Chris!
This unfortunately turned out to be (maybe) a red herring. I was pointed this family link when I first started. It was given to me by a well meaning member of another site. I have it on the 'back burner' now as I am too busy with other sections of the family. I have not given up on them altogether as there MAY be a link. Have you ever had that funny feeling that there is something there? there are too many coincidences! Anyway, if you do not mind, I shall get back to you at some time in the future when I have some real questions to ask.

Yes, I often have that 'gut' feeling and make lots of notes - it is surprising how several years later when looking at those notes again how certain unseemingly unimportant facts at that time now just drop into place.
