Hi Friends

Please can any of you with access to the 1851 census Staffs. do a look up
for me.

I am trying to find a father and son on the 1851 census but they may not
live in the same household.

1. FRANCIS THOMAS (male) aged (about) 28 years - (he was stated to be 31 in 1854).
He was unmarried, probably a coal miner.
I do not know where he was born nor where he was in Staffs. in 1851.
He could be anywhere in Staffs. but likely to be in the LONGTON area,
maybe Stone area or STOKE on TRENT area.

2. JOSEPH THOMAS aged about 50'ish. May have been a Publican.
I do not know where he was born nor where he was in Staffs. in 1851.
He could be anywhere in Staffs. but likely to be in the LONGTON area,
maybe Stone area or STOKE on TRENT area. Father of the above FRANCIS THOMAS.

I cannot find either of them on the 1861 census hence I conclude they may
have died. My 1841 census pieces only cover the Longton area(s).

Fingers crossed - unfortunately ACDB do not "do" this 1851 census!

Kindest regards

Jack (Richards)

Hi Friends

Reference my last message on this thread.

I am disappointed that my original message did not appear on the "New Posts" yesterday. Clearly, I have done something wrong in starting this thread.

Please, if only I could find some kind person who will do this "look up" for me.

Kindest regards

Jack

Hi Friends

Reference my request as above. Please cancel.

Unfortunately help was not forthcoming due as I conject because there are a large number of THOMAS surnames on the indices for this census and would take any "helper" an inordinate length of time to check them.

Hitherto, I was not aware of this large number, otherwise I would not have posted my request.

I have now "taken the plunge" and purchased the said census and will do my own research.

Regards
