Charles Family please .

Hi, I have just bought a family tree poster which i am filling in for a Christmas present (with not much luck),could any body help with the Charles family .


I am looking for any info on William Charles (John middle name) born about 1891.in Wales sorry don't no where in wales.He was married to Charlotte Roberts 1889.Merioneth Talyllyn.Which i have info on .Its William i can't find .
I think his parents are Edward 1862 and Mary .1867.
any help would be good thanks .

1891 census has William J Charles age 2 months born Beaufort,Brecknoockshire son of Edward L Charles b,1865 and Mary b,1867 living at 39 Jones's Row,Llangattock, Beaufort

If it is, do you have a copy of it and thus the name and occupation of William's father?

Please can you tell us why you think his parents are Edward and Mary, e.g. do you have some information or documented evidence? Or, could his parents be another couple?

1901 has them now living in Glamorganshire at 1,Vaughan Terrace,Llanwonno, Penrhiwceiber with the addtion of two children,Mary M. born 1894 and Ivor born 1896.

If this is the correct family, the following are listed on the same page of the FreeBMD marriage index for June Q 1890, Crickhowell registrtion district.

Edward Lewis CHARLES and Mary DRUMMY

(the 1901 census gives Charles the second innitial of L)

Sorry but no i don't have the certificate's, it came from a distant family member ,but I'm sure it is right .as my husband said he remenbers his mother saying the names Edward & M ? a few years ago

Thankyou .yes we know there was a Ivor and possibly a Mary .
I have not got time unfortunalty to send now for paperwork ,as i am trying to fill in the tree to send to family in wales .
