As I mentioned recently on my Glamorgan thread "Looking for Grandfather's siblings' there isn't enough time befors my wife leaves for Phoenix to get certificates and she would like help
Her Gt.-Grandfather was named Daniel born in 1848 in Swansea. From his marriage in 1869, we have his father as George Jones a weaver. The 1851 census has him [George] as being born in Carmarthen as was his wife Hannah.
Daniel had 4 older brothers and 1 younger sister at the time. The 4 older brothers were all born Carmarthen, with the eldest Evan born in 1838.
The only possible marriage I've found in Carmarthen is for a George Jones to a Hannah Evans in the 2nd quarter 1838. I cannot find a baptism for either Daniel or Evan, so am not sure if this is the right marriage.
Can anyone offer assistance in the week ahead?
