Michael KELLY, born 1840, Killeagh, Ireland; joined the Royal Artillery in Cardiff in 1861 and was posted to the Indian Sub-continent for almost his entire service.
In 1867 he fathered an illegit child, Sarah by Mary HENRY (a 16yr old widow!) and the following year married Mary at Peshawar. The couple may have had other children.
His army service record notes that his intended place of residence on retirement from the army (1883), was Sydney, Australia.
I'm interested in making contact with anyone else who may be descended from Michael & Mary KELLY.
