Will I ever get this family over the brick wall? maybe with your help.
Philemon Richards born 1808 <c> ? in or out of the County. Married Emma Rowles in 1825, she died in 1838.
They had three children,
William born 1827 <c> Castle Precincts Bristol
George born 1829 <c> Castle Precincts Bristol
Emma born 1831 <c> Castle Precincts Bristol
Emma goes on to marry Charles Granville in 1858, although I have not yet obtained any certificates I feel I'm correct about her line but will buy a marriage one later.
George is my Great Grandfather x 3, I do have certificates for his line.
Now the problem son, William. Who did he marry? received a marriage certificate yesterday with wrong father. I think he married a Sarah ? and have now found 2 Sarah's on the FreeBMD in 1859. According to the census they have 7 children so could order a birth certificate for one of them naming the parents. But will not help with naming William's father.
There are 10 marriages for William between 1845 and 1851in Bristol, I may not be correct about Sarah and can not afford to end up buying 9 certificates to prove who William's father was.
According to the family which I hope is correct the oldest child was born in 1851, the only Sarah I could find was a entry for a Sarah Ann in 1848 ( the wrong certificate I had ordered)
Could do with some advice what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.
