Well, the gestation was lengthy, the labour arduous but the infant is safely delivered on line!
There are a few hiccups but I am hoping that some cyber gripe-water will sort them out. ;)
It has been tested with some browsers but please bear with me if it doesn't look right on yours.

Opened easily, links simple, important information near the top of the home page, all very nice.
If you want people to be really, really, picky then in the tables you display some surnames are in capitals others (e.g. 1811 census and directories) are not, perhaps one or the other for consistency? - but there's nowt else I can think of which might be bettered.

Thank you Geoffers,
Praise indeed from such a senior senior!
As to the picky people - I always do as I am told and transcribe what I see. So as far as I can remember, the mix of upper and lower case, particularly in the PRs, was how I saw it......but just in case..... I will check on that point!;)

I like it - simple to navigate, not overloaded with graphics, colour scheme easy on the eyes. A model for others!

My apologies Geoffers, I misunderstood your point about capitals.
Mythology kindly pointed out my brain dead-mistake!
You are right, there are capitalised surnames, simply because I forgot to change the default setting in Custodian.
I have had a look to see if there is a way to change all the names in one go but I haven't found it yet :o
Oh well, back to the drawing board!

I can't remember a way of changing case in Custodian (either 2 or 3), I'll have to have a browse through it and see if anything becomes obvious. A simple way of changing case is to export the information into a WP document and use the 'format' > 'change case' facility for everything in a column.

Well done, it looks very nice indeed. You seem to have taken care of the points I got pulled up on - naming the pages instead of numbering them being the most important for those using talking software.

My apologies to anyone who is trying to reach my site at the moment.
There is a slight glitch, while I am making a few changes.
So please ignore the URL below for just a while.
Hopefully, it will be back shortly.
