Years ago I found an item in the Montreal Gazette (27 Jun 1956) when I was going through microfilms looking for my family in Valleyfield, Quebec. Just found the notes I took on an item on Ernest Arrandale who had just left Valleyfield to live in Florida. The item stated that he was born in Gorton, Lancs., had married at the Brookfield Church, Gorton in 1915, was a WWI vet, was Presbyterian, a mason, and had a daughter, Mrs. Dr. A.E. Wilson, living in Orlando, Florida (there were two grandchildren mentioned who very well could be living) who was an agriculutural scientist. It also stated he had worked for the Montreal Cottons (they had several branches in Quebec) and his wife was a native of Blackpool.
Ernest may be the one who died later in Orlando and appears in the Social Security Death Indexes (must have worked in the US at some time).
