The following data links in part to the Moses and Daniel Levy postings under Edward Laurence Levy and the Turnpike Levy's. Carole Freeman in her last posting on Edward Laurence Levy refers to the relationship between Moses Levy and his possible brother Daniel Levy.
Carole suggests that Rosetta Levy may have been the mother of Moses. Data from the 1841 census shows Rosetta Levy 70 b 1770 Foreign birth independent means living with Isaac 25;Hannah 25; Lydia 40. In his will Moses Levy left bequests to Lydia and Hannah and to his half brother Isaac Ellis.
It appears that Henry Ellis 1770-1841 died 1 Fishmongers Alley Southwark ( see Cemetery Scribes for his death) was the son of Solomon ( Zalman) Ellis 1740-1790 and Esther 1750-1825. He married Rosetta in 1795. Rosetta Levy 1768-1851.
The children of Rosetta and Henry were:
Hannah 1811-1883
Isaac 1811-1894 m Julia Levy in 1849
Lambert ( Lambeth) 1781-1845
It is possible that Rosetta was previously married to Judah Ha Levi but this needs to be confirmed.
