Hello Lizziejane,
Is there a chance that Edward & or Elizabeth use their second names, I have found that in many cases English people tend to use their middle christian name, this might be why you can't find a marriage for them. Do you have one of their children's birth certificates? Alternatively, the couple may not have married at all and Elizabeth has taken Edward's name and their children have been registered under Cullen.

I have found this baptism at St James the Great, Bethnal Green:
born Feb 22, baptized March 22 1903, Edward William, parents Edward & Eliza Cullen, 48 Kerbela St, cabinet-maker.
In the 1901 census, I think I have found Edward Cullen in Her Majesty's Prison, Pentonville.
Edward Cullen, single, 16, cabinet maker, worker, b. St. Lukes, London

hi,
How old is Edward in 1911? there are 2 Edward Cullens on the 1891 census, years of birth 1878 Islington and 1887 Poplar
assuming Edward also came from Middlesex.

Caroline Evans seems to have been confused by the 1911 form.
She has listed Edward Cullen as her son and Eliza Cullen as her son's wife.
Do you know the name of Eliza's father please?

Beaten to it! I have found the same entry and was puzzling over 3 grooms and only 2 brides!
A transcriber error here. If you look at the image, the page is 282. Page 282 is missing a male. There is an Elizabeth on this page but her surname is BOHRER.
PS. I submitted a correction to FreeBMD

What about the marriage registered in Dec 1919 at Mile End
Edward A V Cullen to an Evans but the Evans is missing.

OK, OK I know it is 8 years after the 1911 but mine lied so yours could also.

The other member of 1c/682 is Annie E. Evans but on the original GRO index it looks more like 1c/582
but it is an Evans to a Cullen.

If you then ask FreeBMD to give you Annie Evans in Dec 1919 you are given two males and three females Annie being married to the missing Cullen. The reference this time is 1c/602
Strange
P.S. Ancestry clearly has
Edward A V Cullen married to Annie E Evans
Dec 1919 at Mile End Old Town.

Hi
Thats interesting as Kerbela street is in the area in which they lived so Edwards birth date in the 1911 must be wrong as I thought, as he would only have been 16 when Edward William was born and I now know he named James as Edward James unless Edward William died will check that out and yeah i know its possible to have kids at 16!
