When you have obtained a relatives marriage certificate will there be anything else held by the registry office that is not on the cert,.
I have heard about a schedule that you fill in b4 marriage.
Will these docs be kept somewhere within the reg office where married.
Like to try to get more info....signatures etc

Have you got one yet? There's lots of info including signatures etc. What exactly are you looking for?

The original register contains the same details that are on the certificate and it is that register which the bride, groom and witnesses sign. Someone recently told me that some register office certificates that are applied for are photocopies of these registers but I personally have never had one of those.
You are entitled to ask for an appointment to see the registers. Guy Etchells explains about that on his website. It's worth taking a look

Sorry did not realise that original cert was signatured by both parties. I can only remember signing the registry book when i gave up my single, great lifestyle, happy times,no cares in the world, only myself to take care of,no-one to answer to,......................life :)

No. You sign the register. "Certificates" are certified copies of a register entry.
The only way to be sure of seeing an ancestors signature on a marriage registration is on the church marriage register, usually deposited in the County Record Office.
