John MORLEY was born Chatham c 1813 and is recorded in the 1841 and 1851 census in Liverpool as a hemp & flax dresser. He married Elizabeth JOLLEY about 1837. He appears in the 1881 census at the workhouse in Wrawby, Lincoln, and a death certificate shows he died there on 7th Nov 1883. Can anyone supply information as to his parents or siblings?

Hi Peter

Try this site if you haven't already done so, it has images of PRs for Chatham & surrounding areas

http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/

left hand menu - CityArk Imagebase.
Click on Link 2.
Scroll down to the parish you want to see.
Scroll down to (for example) baptisms 1813-1816.
Click on 'View Images' & start looking at the actual pages of the registers.

When looking for baptisms, burials etc you may need to scroll right down to the bottom of page as not all images are available yet for all the parishes listed.
Hope this great site helps you find John's parents & siblings.

Sally,
Many thanks for this really useful link. I've just used it to find my great great great great grandmother's baptism record. I'll return to the site for further family searches. The downloading is not very fast but it is certainly worth the wait!
Thanks again,
Lynda

Thank you to Doug Johnson for the 1871 census image ( Didnt get the hang of it straight away, hence delayed thank you). I now find he has a second wife so I will have another line to follow soon
