Thomas James SIMMONS/Thomas HUGHES birth

i'm trying to find my great grandfather's birth certificate. THOMAS HUGHES born 1879 liverpool. he is on the 1891and 1901 censuses for wales. but on the 1881 census for england he is down as THOMAS JAMES SIMMONS. so it looks like no birth certificate for him.

Sorry, the above was registered Liverpool. There was no Thomas James Simmons registered for the time period

this is a tricky one. Thomas was living with his mother elizabeth simmons and his 2 half brother's william henry and john thomas simmons all born cornwall. i think when they came round to do the census he must have put thomas down as a simmons
