1861 Staffordshire Look up request

Family of Robert Price (39) Boiler maker/Engineer; wife Emma Price (40) son Richard Price (10/11). Living in Wolverhampton in 1851. Richard had moved with out his parents to London by 1871 but I can't find them in 1861. I don't know if Richard had any brothers or sisters and this is why I want to find the family in 1861. Can anyone help please? Robert and Emma both came from Staffs/Worcestershire.

Hello Sarah,

Could this be your Richard in the 1861 census of Stantonbury, Bucks, although Emma's age does not correspond with the age given in the 1851 census. However, there are only 3 Richard PRICEs I can find listed who are born in Wolverhampton and the other two do not have the correct parents. Perhaps Emma lied about her age to her second husband???

Janet - I can never thank you enough - I would never have found him! Now I have to work out whther Robert died (none of the males in the family seemed to live very long before this) or divorced (unlikely in those days I suppose). I am sure it is the correct Emma because mile was born in Gospel Oak and I had two DOB for her and this corresponds to the second one, Again - thank you so much - I am truely grateful.
