Problem posting reply

I am trying to post a reply to a thread I posted to yesterday. The reply contains a lot of information with names and dates, so I created a plain text file first and copied and pasted it into the reply box. What is in the reply box is fine, but when I press Preview Post, what appears is gibberish, with segments repeated and mixed up together. Editing it simply makes it worse. There is of course no formatting in a plain .txt file so I don't know what could be causing this problem.

The forum software has a problem which strikes from time to time.

It appears to dislike long posts and also posts which have been heavily edited even if posted from a plain text file.

Most of us get around it by splitting a large post up into a number of short postings.

Many bugs have been fixed between the version of the software used here ... 3.0.3 ... and the latest free update to it ... 3.0.7
