Hello Brit-Gen.

Thought I would post a quick intro thread, even though i'm normally a bit of a lurker who may ask the odd question.

I have been doing my family history for about 2-3 years. I live in New Zealand, but was born in the UK, so my research is all long distance via online sites and the helpful people on them.

I plan to move back to the UK in a few years, where i can do some more in depth research, but in the meantime just learning what i can from here.

As i get help from fellow researchers in the UK, i like to 'pay it forward' and offer any help I can for those researching New Zealand relations.

Now, as I am anxiously awaiting 4 certs ordered from the GRO to arrive, i'm off to read some of the many interesing threads on this board. Can't believe i haven't found this place earlier!

Regards, Greenman

Welcome Greenman - hope the weather is a bit brighter where you are than it is here at the moment!

Hi Greenman, good to see you ! There are often NZ queries which you can possibly help with, & many answers waiting for your Questions too. Have a good wander thro' the various Forum boards.

Hi,

Joined this site today , I am only after one piece of rather obscure information concerning an Anthony Greenman who married in Fisherton Anger, probably twice in 1697 and again in 1724. It is just possibly there were two different fellows. I may well not revisit this site.

My interest is the Greenman family where I currently have a database going back to the early 1600's. No question that you and I are related. There is only onefamily.

If you have any info or need anything yourself, mail me on witley(at)googlemail.com
