If such a visit is in your schedule, could I request a look up for 2 obituaries.? I have full info on dates of death etc. and the probable newspaper that these entries would be in.

Again, with my location in Canada, such a visit is out-of-the-question and the time frame for their paid service is somewhat long. I'll reimburse any costs involved.

Please respond if willing to assist and I'll provide details in a p/m.

Thank you very much
Colin

Hi Colin,

Do you mean the History centre in Dorchester or are you after some local research in Bridport? I know from your previous threads you have a keen intrest there.

Hi Stickymone

Thanks for responding. The location is on Bridpoert Road, Dorchester, Dorset and the archves [newspapers] are related to the "Dorset Evening Echo".

Hi Colin,

PM the details, if you're not in a rush I'm often down there, I have family in Bridport. I'll have to make sure the next time I go is a weekday when these places are open.

It won't be any trouble as I already have an enquiry to do for another Brit-Gen member as well

Will do. Just a wild thought --- your family wouldn't be a desendant of the Ackerman's by any chance? :hurray:

If it is, then lunch is on me!!!

Cheers
