Looking for Orlando John Bowden on the 1871 census.

In 1861 he was with dad and his siblings at 10 Princes Street - RG9/102 ed 9 folio 106 page 56

John Bowden, head, married, age 35, carpenter journeyman born Jersey
Caroline, daughter, age 10 born Jersey
Orlando, son, age 8 born Jersey
Henry, son, age 6 born Jersey
Edith, daughter, age 2 born Middlesex Marylebone

and by 1881 he was in Cornwall - which is where I thought he came from for ages ....!

He does not appear to be in Cornwall in 1871, so am wondering if he is still in the St Pancras area. If some kind person could have a look, I would be grateful http://www.rootschat.com/forum/Smileys/classic/wink.gif

Caroline is still in the same area in 1871, but don't know about the others.
Many thanks

No - only Caroline!! I have a possible for dad - John, in Highgate Infirmary, but have not yet looked for the others.

John's wife Edith did not appear on the 1861 - even though he is listed as married. She had certainly died by 1881, when John had remarried.

Orlando turns up in Cornwall in 1881, and remained there. His mother Edith was from Cornwall originally.
