Elizabeth "Bessie" Moller (nee Long) born approx 1865, married Axel Hother Moller, corkmaker, from Denmark (married in London) on 14th April 1889. No idea who her parents were. Just know they had 5 children and two still-births.

She was in the 1911 (living in London) census aged 46

Would love to get her death info but don't seem able to find any info regarding this on ancestery.co.uk.

Any suggestions please?

Do you know when Axel was born?

There is this death in December Qtr 1915:

Axel H Moller, Age 58, Camberwell, 1d 1128

If this is him perhaps she remarried?

Hi Procat!

Yes Axel was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on 26 April 1857.

I have his birth (Denmark), marriage (UK) and death (UK) info but hardly anything on her.

Her birth year (approx 1865) I guessed from the age on their marriage certificate.

I had'nt thought of the divorce possibly but don't think that is the case here as on his death certificate (aged 58) it states the informant as being "E. Moller, widow of deceased" - but good try mate!

As his death was recorded as being in December 1915 I assume she must have passed away some time after then but have no idea when although most of them seemed to pass on during their mid 60s.

Divorce????

What I was suggesting was that after the death of Axel she may have remarried. I was unable to find a marriage of an Elizabeth Moller but she could be recorded in the indexes as Elizabeth Long if she did remarry. There are heaps of them (Elizabeth Long) so it would be very time consuming to search.

Oops! Sorry I got the wrong end of the stick and get what you meant now.

Remarrying after Axel's death is certainly a possibility to consider which I had'nt thought about to be honest (brain's malfunctioning today - should I worry?)

Agreed therre certainly must be a lot of Elizabeth Long marriages to plough through!

Thanks for the tips anyway.

Cheers

Thanks Adele!

I've just sent off for the cert. Some of my people did live in the Paddington area for a while so looks like your sleuthing is 99% accurate :)
