Hi
Forgive me if I have posted before.

If SKS has the 1861 census, could they do me a favour and look up a Henry aka Harry Jenkins please. I think he should be about 10 years of age.
He is said to be born in Barnstaple, Devon, according to the 1891 & 1901 census. He is recorded as 38 and 48 years of age, respectively. And was a shipwright.
I have had no luck what so ever in finding him in the 1881 census, I beleive that he could have been on board ship somewhere.

His father was a John Jenkins, according to his marriage certificate, if this helps.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Hello Philip
I think this might be your family from the LDS 1851 3 counties CD. Bear in mind that Jenkins was/is quite a common surname in Devon, particularly in the North, as there was much toing and froing between Wales and North Devon. So, there is no guarentee that this is the correct Jenkins family without more proof.

Phillip,
Can you tell me who your Henry Jenkins married? Was it perhaps Alice Maud Shaw? If so I'm also researching this family and have had some wonderful success!
